A Funders’ Briefing
Nearly a decade ago, a group of Silicon Valley-backed investors began quietly buying up tens of thousands of acres of farmland in eastern Solano County. Today, CaliforniaForever owns nearly 70,000 acres and is advancing plans for a new city, major employment centers, and a large shipbuilding and maritime-industrial complex on the San Joaquin Delta.
Join Smart Growth California for a virtual tour of the project area. Using maps, photos, and on-the-ground perspectives, we’ll look at what is proposed, what could change, and what it could mean for housing, water, agriculture, conservation, infrastructure, and nearby communities.
We’ll also ask a bigger question: what does California Forever tell us about how California is choosing where and how to grow?
