In recent years, funders have aligned nearly $2 million to help grassroots organizations in the San Joaquin Valley explore what community ownership could mean for their communities. With support from funders including Common Counsel Foundation, the 11th Hour Project, Tao Rising and others, the work has helped bring a full-time technical assistance provider to the region, advance a Land Back effort and support the development of more community-owned housing.
But interest in community ownership extends far beyond the Valley. Join us September 24 from 2:00–3:30 p.m. PT for a deeper dive into how funders across California are supporting community ownership—and the opportunities to strengthen and connect this work.
An agenda will be shared closer to the event. Contact Diana Williams for more information.
