The Latino Community Foundation launched the Community Protection Fund, a rapid, community-centered philanthropic response to escalating immigration enforcement. The Fund will support efforts to hold ICE accountable for illegal actions, violence, and trauma by investing in nonprofits, training legal observers, gathering evidence, and advocating for transparent and responsible enforcement. It will also fund grassroots Latino-serving nonprofits providing rental assistance, cash assistance, and other immediate economic support to vulnerable immigrant families, as well as organizations offering mental health and trauma support for children and adults in crisis.
